VOLUNTEER
Looking for ways to love your neighbor? We can help! At Doors of Hope, we have tangible ways for the community to step in. Here are some ways you can get involved.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
-
Community Teams
Individuals willing to be a part of a neighborhood-focused team of 2-4 others who support our clients once per month by either meeting a practical need or meeting with them for coffee or a meal to build friendship.
-
Front Desk Help
Someone willing to sit at our front desk two afternoons a week from 1 pm – 4 pm. This involves answering phone calls, interacting with clients who walk in, and helping staff as needed!
-
Grocery Shopper
Volunteers willing to grocery shop for our food pantry! Gift cards and a shopping list are provided.
-
Budget Counselors
This volunteer position is for people who enjoy and excel at simple personal budgets. Often our clients need the consistent support of figuring out and working within a budget. These volunteers have the full support of Doors of Hope, but set their own schedule with the clients.
-
On Call Volunteers
No one can plan for a crisis! We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to help where needed. Can you mow someone’s lawn if they get sick or injured? Are you able to make and bring a meal to a family? Do you have common auto mechanic knowledge that you’re willing to share? Or are you tech savvy and willing to help someone set up their new phone or computer? These are the daily neighbors that can give someone hope that they are known and seen.
