City Spark Initiative Beginning Summer 2024

COAH resident nonprofit organizations provided feedback to City on a Hill leadership via SWOT analysis as part of our strategic planning process in 2023.  Through this process, we learned that while the mission and purpose of COAH is steadfast and relevant the needs of NFPs today are different from the needs of when COAH launched 18 years ago. Needs expressed by resident nonprofits included an increased need for reliable technology in office and meeting spaces, a desire to offer a welcoming but safe community, reduced interruptions due to facility-related issues, e.g. leaking roof, and increased ability for those we serve to easily find their way to the nonprofit they are visiting.

CitySpark represents the portion of City on a Hill’s 3-year strategic plan “Forward in Faith” (see www.coahm.org/strategic-plan) that involves investing in our facilities to meet the needs of today’s resident nonprofits and those we serve in our community.

·     Our aging building needs a “spark” to avoid disruption of services.

·     Nonprofits have an increased need for technology and security in individual and shared spaces.

·     City on a Hill has work to do when it comes to helping those we serve find their way through the COAH building

Combined, this project’s total is $450,000.
