Volunteers needed!

Since opening in October, 2006 over 4,000 adults and children have come seeking medical attention for a wide variety of health concerns. The clinic has been able to address the need with its committed group of volunteers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, social workers, CNAs, EMTs, chiropractors, mental health professionals and physical therapists. More volunteers are greatly needed.

The Health Clinic is open Tuesday evenings from 5 PM to 8 PM, Thursday mornings from 10 AM to 1PM and every third Thursday from 5PM to 8PM. We are in need of providers and nurses during the evening clinic as well as during our morning clinic and women’s clinic (female providers only please for the women’s clinic).

Volunteers normally arrive between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM (9:45 AM and 10 AM) and stay until all registered patients have been seen. We make every effort to get providers out on time.

Concerned about liability insurance? The clinic has the Federal Tort Claims Act insurance that covers all licensed volunteer staff at the clinic. The director has more information on this program if you are interested.

You choose the dates you would like to help, and come as often as you are able. Just one evening every 2 months is a great way to make a difference!
