City on a Hill Health Clinic was opened in 2006 through a grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM). Since then, BCBSM has supported the clinic through a yearly grant for general operations as well funding for the Community Health Worker program and other expanded services. This past year the clinic was chosen to be featured in a YouTube video made available on the BCBSM corporate blog. This is the video that can be seen on the main page of the clinic.

Most recently, BCBSA (the nationwide association) reached out to clinic leaders and providers discuss the increase in the number of millennials (the generation born between 1981 and 1996) seeking care at the clinic. According to BCBSA article “The Health of Millenials”, the most common diagnosis impacting this generation is major depression with a 31% increase in this condition as compared to the national population. This reflects what the clinic providers are seeing as well. You can access the article here:

The clinic continues to be grateful of the support received yearly from BCBSM. If you have any questions about the article or would like more information about the clinic please feel free to reach out to the clinic director.
