See the video and find out all about our new spring fund drive to kick start a $1.2 million heating system replacement. Go to www.coahm.org/BurningBright.
The appeal, dubbed “Burning Bright,” is our first major capital campaign since the building purchase in 2006. The drive seeks at least $300,000 for a down payment to replace an outdated steam boiler system.
The HVAC work continues the repurposing of the former Zeeland Hospital building into an affordable, inviting and collaborative space for our own four ministries plus 34 other organizations.
Volunteer experts have kept the system running, but the steam boilers are an outdated technology and past their useful life, requiring on-going major repair costs, Director Gary Ellens pointed out. Besides those costs is the risk of sudden failure that would leave 70 percent of the building without heat, endangering the building and the work of more than 100 staff in 22 organizations.
Gifts can be mailed to City on a Hill Burning Bright, 100 Pine Suite 175, Zeeland, 49464, or at www.coahm.org/BurningBright
